アヒル

東京の家に帰宅したら、二羽のアヒルが待っていた。左は先住者で広島から来たであろうことは間違いない。右はサン・セバスチャンを旅した学生さんから頂いたアヒル。ライデンの家にもアムステルダムとロンドン出身のアヒルがいて、どちらもそこを訪れた学生さんがお土産でくれたもの。明大の学生・卒業生たちが世界を旅しているのをこのような形で見られるのはなんとも嬉しい。
These lovely ducks have been waiting for me to come back in Tokyo. The left one is the existing habitant, who is originally from Hiroshima, I suppose. The right one is a nice present from my students who visited San Sebastián. I’ve already had two ducks at my apartment in Leiden, both of which are souvenirs from my students, who have stayed or visited Amsterdam and London. Nice to see how students of Meiji University have explored the world!
